"While Seagulls Wheel"

type='html'>

They don't call Minnesota the "Land of 10,000 Lakes" for no reason...well, maybe they don't have a very good reason since it's actually more like 11,842...but hey, I'm no good at math either.  Just a few days ago, Drayton (that's my own handsome man, for those of you who are new readers!) and I had the opportunity to spend a few weekend hours at a popular nearby lake.  I have to admit it's not a favourite of mine since I've seen the beautiful, clear, crisply blue lakes that are further up north...and this one is sort of a sludgy, city park greeny-brown.  But you know, any day that gives you breezy sunshine and gorgeous fluffies in the sky is only improved by a watery expanse of any kind (well, except puddles).

Scored these moccasins at Target.  One of the best purchases of my life, since I now spend my days wearing cushy leather slippers that only cost me $7.  Didn't do too bad on this vintage Chinese silk scarf either...$3 at Goodwill :)

I've always loved shadow shots like these...me and the man friend have a couple really fun ones from dates we've been on...you know, the ones where your shadows are holding hands (or kissing, hehe).

Aaaaaaaaand here's a picture of the most handsome man in the world!!!  I don't know about you, but I find strong jawlines and broad chests very attractive...mostly because that's exactly what my sweetheart has :)  It's been really nice spending more time with this man lately -- he works a lot of night shifts and I work days, but we've really made it a point lately to have no (or few) weekend plans so that we get to spend those days together.  Both of us have just been eating up that time, reading books together or watching movies and old TV shows or going on walks and fast food dinner dates.  After all, what's more important than nourishing your mutual connections and understanding???  We're committed for life, no matter what, so we've gotta keep getting to know each other more and more and loving each other better an better -- definitely NOT a bad thing :)

I am quite proud of how this fountain shot turned out...look at the amazing colour of the sky and those gorgeous white fluffies!  And the water droplets were just misting everywhere in the breeze as you can see.  Soooooo refreshing and pretty on a sunny hot day, not to mention that anything artistic like that fountain sculpture just feeds my soul!!!  Drayton, art, and a lot of water -- all my favourite things :)  I could have sat there for the whole weekend and just enjoyed the beauty.

And here we are by the fountain together, being all romantical and everything.  Excuse the squints, please, it was a sunny day...
