"Starshine and Clay"

I have fallen deeply, madly, and truly in love.

I have been a long time fan of Eshakti...I mean, who doesn't fall head over heels for a vintage influenced clothing boutique that allows you to customize the sizing, length, neckline, and sleeves to your personal fit and style?!  Since I am such a diminutive young lady myself (5'2"), I'm always having trouble finding dresses and skirts that aren't awkwardly and unflattering long...plus  the misfortune of having a teensy waist but disproportionately large hips/thighs...which likewise doesn't exactly lend itself to an accurate fit!

So given my body type and my love for sweet vintage styled dresses, I was ecstatic when Eshakti recently offered me a sample dress (so kind!)!!!  I spent like three days deliberating...the most difficult part was narrowing my selection down to just one dress :)  I had a really hard time choosing between a cute little nautical-style sleeveless dress and a black floral peplum.  But in the end, I decided on this pretty little number because I loved the 1930s vintage appeal, and because I don't have anything this colour in my closet.

Plus I had JUST gotten this pretty vintage-style necklace at Forever 21, and knew I had the world's most perfect 1930s-style shoes from Oasap.  Seriously, these shoes have become the basis for many an outfit choice!  They are another definite romantic wardrobe interest for me :)  I have just been dying to style these pieces together...and finally got my Eshakti dress in the mail this week!!!

And go figure, it's even better in real life.  I am in love with the bright, pretty green.  I am in love with the soft, airy material.  I am in love with the elegant sleeves and the charming buttons.  Most of all, I am in love with the fact that this dress is the perfect length and fit (although a teensy bit too large around the bust...something I'll keep in mind for next time).  Thank you so much, Eshakti!!!  Ladies, check them out :)
