"Loving In Truth"

type='html'>

(How do you know I love my Karen Kane gifts? Second day in a row wearing KK...it is soooooooo comfy)

Things You Wouldn't Know About Me From Reading This Blog:

1. My mother wouldn't let me watch Sesame Street when I was three or four...she said it was too dumbed down for me.  Apparently I was an abnormally bright child and had already started reading at a chapter book level, and she didn't want Sesame Street to stunt my intellectual development, haha.

2. I am deathly and morbidly afraid of seaweed - like, I-won't-go-in-that-lake-to-save-my-life shrieking and screaming afraid of seaweed.  And this coming from the girl who wants to go skydiving, spelunking, swimming with sharks, and has already jumped off a bridge.

3. I've jumped off a bridge.  Literally.

4. The only kind of chocolate I really love and ever really crave is Cadbury Dairy Milk.  I am a strange female indeed.

5.  I broke my toe walking.  And it was the worst break that my sports-injury-specialist doctor had ever seen.

6.  The Minnesota State Fair is my favourite "holiday" of the year.  My family has gone every single year since I was born, come rain/snow/shine/sleet!  We are hardcore state fair fans -- we stay all day (from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.) and end up pushing a stroller so we have room for layers of clothing, water bottles, and extra food.  We see everything. And if we don't, we come back a second day -- which is just another great excuse for eating delicious fair foods (hello, cheese curds and beef jerky)!

I included this picture so you can laugh at me.  WHAT is that goofy face???
7.  I grew up pretty much without a dad.  Mine left my mom when I was six or seven, and even though we saw him once a week or so, it was rarely a pleasant experience.  As I've gotten older, I've realized just how much I've been without and just how rough life can be without a great dad.  But I've also realized that with God, I can definitely make it -- He's the best and most loving father out there :)
