Post #1 of the Accessorize Cambria campaign...and not too bad for starters, I don't think. I'm celebrating by wearing the simply perfect LBS (little black skirt) that Karen Kane so kindly sent me a couple weeks ago. I've only got a limited selection of arm candy thus far (read: I only own what I'm wearing in these photos), so I've still gotta work up to the ultimate and supreme state of being fully accessorized.
I know I'm supposed to be posting about accessories...but let's just stop a minute and give this Karen Kane skirt it's due praise. It is the PERFECT fabric -- lightweight enough for summer but heavy enough for winter, doesn't require a slip, hangs so nicely in my closet without wrinkles, and is even better quality than I expected. Not to mention this baby has POCKETS and a high paperbag waist. I don't know about you, but I'm allllllll about the paperbag waist, it's just so flattering to the old figure! I've always been scared of tapered skirts like this, but it fits so nicely...I don't think it emphasizes any bad spots on my body. This is my new closet staple...and let me tell you, the quality of this made-in-the-USA Karen Kane clothing has just impressed me so much. I'm not compelled to advertise for them -- but I've been so happy, I'm doing it of my own free will 'cause I think you'll love what they've got :)
And now back to your regularly scheduled programme, Accessorize Cambria. I've been trying to pick out versatile pieces that can be worn one or more, mixed and matched with ease, and blend with almost anything in my wardrobe. Note the gold bangles, pink and white pearls, and that gorgeous gold and white circle bracelet from INPINK (my personal fav at the moment). I've been collecting mostly vintage style jewelry too, since I'm trying to direct more of my wardrobe that way lately -- thus the F21 rings that look like they came straight out of my Gramma's jewelry box! I'm actually really liking the way this first bit of accessorizing went. It's nothing shocking or super out of the ordinary, but I think they all look so feminine and classy together :)
Can't go wrong with those Oasap peep toes. Seriously, I think these babies out to count as an accessory. They're too cute for words!
