"Something Elemental"

I don't know if it's been particularly apparent in the past couple posts, what with my special giveaway photo shoot and all, but I have developed a new wardrobe addiction: big, bold prints.

There's just something so eye-catching and interesting about large prints like this...they make an easy to wear garment seem so much more special!  And they're fun to accessorize with brights or equally striking jackets and shoes (although I took these pictures after working at my financial advisor's office in a very conservative small town bank, so I don't have much accessorizing going on in these photos!).  Sometime soon I'll post with some wacky mixed pattern scarf or big bright jewelry or something.  And then you'll see :)

Another addiction of mine lately...small details.  Probably nobody in the world would ever notice the exposed zipper on the back of this dress, or the fact that it does indeed have POCKETS...but I totally do.  And I totally love it.  Sometimes I put on outfits that I realize look really, really plain because I'm the only on who would ever notice the seaming or structural or decorative details I'm wearing :)  Oh well.
