Anniversary Weekend, #1

type='html'>

This is what I wore Saturday morning last weekend, when we hit the road for downtown St. Paul.  We walked around the city a bunch and visited our favourite bits of architecture, little riverside parks, and our most delicious eating spots.  I wanted to keep comfy and cool but still wear something the hubby thought "highly" of...so I settled on this striped shift dress I got on clearance at Old Navy.  Throw on a pair of strappy sandals, some fun vintage jewelry, and that gorgeous Pink Tulips handbag...and we're good to go :)

We ate at Coffee News Cafe, my favourite Twin Cities coffee shop, for brunch.  I had an egg scramble with basil, tomatoes, goat cheese...and sourdough toast.  This place is so tasty and great for people watching!

Then in the early afternoon, we hit up the Blue Door Pub, our favourite local pub haha, for their astonshingly good cheese curds.  The MN state fair is renowned for their cheese curds (we are the second largest fair in the nation, and curds are arguably the most staple fair food)...but Blue Door kicks their butts!  These babies were just the perfect warm, salty snack paired with a little Fulton beer :)
