EDIT: One more happy happier happiest thing...check out Pop of Style's post. Miss Missy may have given me a shout out for encouraging her...but she's been every bit as encouraging to me. I love blogging friend :)
There are a lot of happy things about today's post. For instance, I have discovered that wearing balloon pants is the thing to do on a 90+ degree day. And that a silk shirt and high waist wide-legs make me feel like an old movie star, even when I just spent the day scurrying around my office. Oh, and the fact that after I took these pics, I cracked open a can of La Croix Peach-Pear sparkling water for my drive to work (the coconut is pretty dang good too).
Then of course, there's the very happy fact that this entire outfit cost me $23...vintage belt, F21 pants, gifted blouse from H&M, and a bunch of bracelets that I got with Old Navy Card points :) I love when you can assemble a totally chic and totally vintage outfit for a very low "I'm currently broke" cost.
Doesn't this blouse even make YOU happy? I have just fallen in love with the pretty pastels, the creamy pink silk, the little rolled cuffs...I'm always a sucker for a vintage print and this one just seems to go perfectly with everything, plus has all those lovely details. I know, now it's made you cheery...and jealous ;)
I'm also happy because I have decided to start accessorizing. That might sound ridiculous to some of you, but until about a month ago...I was shamefully lacking in the jewelry and hair accessories department. To begin with, I didn't own ANY bracelets or rings and few earrings and necklaces. Plus, it just seemed like so much work to put a whole "outfit" together for my wrist and fingers, haha. But lately I've become determined to accessorize--and realized just how easy and fun it is to put on some pretty bling--so I've started an "Accessorize Cambria" project. Loads of research and some pretty awesome purchases :) I've got some fun posts scheduled ahead to feature my new accessory investments and styling tips I've discovered--keep an eye out!!!
Check this picture: another thing that makes me happy, happy. One night right after we got engaged, the hubby and I had a dinner/stroll date and carved our initials into a little wooden bridge downtown Minneapolis on the Mississippi River...and almost two years later, they are still there to be seen :)
